Description |
Bridget hoisting the Mainsail aboard Peer Gynt II. We shared
most tasks onboard but naturally adopted routines that we were
both comfortable with. Bridget adopted the mainsail as her
territory whatever the weather and whatever the time of day or
night. She was expert at getting a reef in quickly when we were
suddenly hit by bad weather, whatever the conditions were on
deck. Many a time on a pitch black night in stormy conditions I
would anxiously wait for her to complete her task on deck and
get safely back into the cockpit. Our teamwork was undoubtedly a
major part of our successful and enjoyable circumnavigation. |
