Description |
This picture was taken in Suakin Sudan, I had just filmed the
local sword maker showing us his swords and daggers, and his
party piece which was to demonstrate how to hold an elephant
hide shield and sword whilst peeping through a hole in the
shield at his pretended adversary. Showing the playback caused
great excitement and we soon had a queue of his friends and
relatives wanting to be filmed and then seeing themselves on the
movie camera. |
