Ensuring your mail (snail mail) finds you wherever you are in the world can be  a bit challenging. Family or friends may be willing to do this for you, but it may be asking rather a lot, especially if you are away a long time. A solution is to use a professional mail forwarding company. These vary very much in price and service and it is probably best to use a service that specialises for cruising boats. Also it is best to get a recommendation from someone who has used a service before committing.  We used Voyager mail successfully for several years cruising with no problems. Below are some of many companies. If you know of other companies that provide a good service please let us know via feedback.

Companies offering specialist mail forwarding for yachts
St. Brendan's Isle USA based - Postal mail forwarding service for cruisers.

Continentalrelay

Australian based - An ideal mail and package forwarding service for cruising yachtsmen, backpackers and others on the move worldwide. Includes free voicemail and fax numbers in the US, UK, and Australia (allows your friends to message you from 3 countries for the cost of a local call). Voicemail and fax messages are forwarded as email attachments enabling you to receive them via your normal email account. The Scan & Forward option can also deliver your monthly bills or letters by email. Access your own online members page 24/7 to view the senders details of postal mail and packages currently being held. The only service we know that offers a money back guarantee.

Landbase Australia Australia based - The advantages of using Landbase Australia include: reliability; confidentiality; having a single, stable postal address; receiving your mail when you want it; having a 7 day fax/telephone message service; a 7 day email service.
Ship to Shore UK based - Ship to Shore provides a UK base for cruising yachtsmen which collects and forwards mail, sources spare parts, charts/pilots etc, as well as offering a variety of other services which can be tailored to your particular requirements. Mail sent to you is distinctively packaged to make it easily identified. Ship to Shore was established in 1993 and has proven to be a very satisfactory service to its customers
Voyagers Mail USA based - Mail forwarding services for boaters and people on the move.
